Job Description

This position will be directly responsible for managing our national sales accounts. The primary customer accounts for this role will be specific to Military/Department of Defense, but also include other customer markets such as Resellers, Federal Government, Training Entities, Law Enforcement, Private Military Contractors, Corporations, and Civilian Markets.

This position requires travel for specific sales calls to targeted entities and attending relevant tradeshows and conferences. Knowledge of purchasing contracts, applicable government/DOD projects in process, and an understanding of the inner workings of the government/DOD markets are vitally necessary. The National Sales Account Manager will work directly with the Director of Sales & Marketing to obtain these goals.

Assigned Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain consistent contact with defined customer base 
  • Support Contracts Director and the Sales Director in the presentation and adding of products to Prime Vendor programs
  • Actively and aggressively acquire new NSNs per management’s guidance
  • Prospect for new entities (including calling, emailing, marketing, and visiting)
  • Promote sale and education of all Chinook products to assigned markets
  • Administer (business-to-business) sales and quotes to specific markets
  • Travel to key accounts and attend industry tradeshows (approx. 15-20 times per year)
  • Actively search for new and appropriate tradeshows, marketing awareness, and/or training events
  • Work with Marketing Department to assure all logistics and awareness/lead opportunities for tradeshows in your market are expedited (registration, hotel, shipping, packing, visits, giveaways, marketing, promotions, etc.)
  • Actively follow up in a timely manner with customers on price quotes, orders, trade shows, visits, etc.
  • Networking with contacts to obtain new sales leads while growing current base
  • Work with Contracting Department to peruse various procurement websites/vendors/sub-contractors for opportunities and logistics
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Work with Product Development in the development and/or provide information on new products as needed
  • Back up Sales & Marketing Departments as needed
  • Maintain good working notes in CRM/Sales funnel
  • Other projects and or duties assigned by the Sales Director
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent job experience in tactical military, law enforcement, emergency medicine, military medicine or 5+ years in industry as a mid to senior level sales manager
  • Experience with contacts in Military/DOD and federal government market
  • Travel necessary specifically to military bases/medical centers/training facilities and DOD procurement offices
  • Working knowledge in the emergency medical gear/ device arena
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet function well within a team.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
          Additional events as needed

Location: This is an on-site position, NOT able to be done remote.
